Proudly Chartered Since 1999
AMVETS Post 45 was officially chartered in 1999 and has proudly served the St. Augustine area ever since. We’ve called our current location home since 2009, and in that time, our membership and community impact have grown significantly.
Today, our Post is home to:
– 183 AMVETS Members
– 55 Sons of AMVETS Members
– 100 Ladies Auxiliary Members
We are committed to supporting local veterans and their families through a variety of fundraising efforts and community programs. From fish fries and BBQs to golf tournaments and our annual Toys for Tots drive, our Post stays active and engaged year-round.

At AMVETS Post 45, we believe service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off — it continues through community, support, and fellowship. That’s why our Post is proud to include three vital groups that together make up the AMVETS family:
AMVETS
For honorably discharged veterans and active-duty service members, AMVETS provides advocacy, camaraderie, and opportunities to continue serving. Members work together to support veterans’ rights, community needs, and fellow service members at every stage of life.
Ladies Auxiliary
Open to wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, and granddaughters of veterans, the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary leads with compassion. Members volunteer, fundraise, and support programs that benefit veterans, their families, and the local community.
Sons of AMVETS
The Sons honor their fathers’ and grandfathers’ service by giving back. Membership is open to sons and grandsons of veterans, and provides younger generations a way to contribute through volunteerism, community projects, and Post activities.
Together, these three groups form a strong and united family — each playing a unique role, but all working toward the same mission: to serve veterans, support families, and strengthen our community.
